How do I connect with a mentor?
Any student can network with our mentors by registering an account on our connect platform. You will then be able to access our currently available mentors, their profiles, and the support they’ll be able to offer you.
Are your services free?
All of the services AfSU provides is free of charge to all participants.
Can I access internship and work experience opportunities?
Yes! You will be able to access various opportunities with your mentors who will be able to support you with these as time progresses. If you’re a member of Team AfSU, you’ll also be able to access unique internship and work experience opportunities.
Who are your mentors?
The AfSU Mentors are handpicked members who currently attend university (or equivalent), or are professionals working in industry. Mentors:
- Receive a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if they are working with children under 18 years old;
- Attend mentorship training;
- Have access to the AfSU community and can share opportunities and insights with students;
- Recommend educational routes and avenues that students may be interested in.?
